Keys, remotes and push to start smart keys for Mazdas from 2000 through 2026 — Protege and Tribute to CX-5, CX-50 and CX-90. For 2023 and newer Mazdas we use Mazda's dealer-level MDARS and MDARS II software, which many aftermarket key tools can't replace. We come to your vehicle, so there's no towing it to the dealer.
On Mazda's newer models, adding or replacing a key often requires MDARS (Mazda Diagnostic and Repair System) or MDARS II, used on the 2026+ CX-5 — Mazda's own cloud-based diagnostic and programming software. Many aftermarket key programmers have limited or no coverage on these vehicles, which is why a lot of owners are told the dealer is their only option.
Spare Me Car Keys programs keys for 2023 and newer Mazda vehicles using dealer-level Mazda MDARS and MDARS II software. We're one of the few automotive locksmiths in Wyoming equipped for it — and because we're mobile, we bring it to you. No towing your Mazda to the dealer.
Coverage depends on the exact vehicle. Call or text 307-206-4218 with your year and model to confirm we can do yours.

Why newer Mazdas are different. Mazda moved its newer vehicles onto MDARS and MDARS II, its cloud-based diagnostic and programming platforms. MDARS II is used on the 2026-and-newer CX-5. Mazda's own service information lists MDARS for models including the 2023-and-newer CX-50, 2024-and-newer CX-90, 2025-and-newer CX-70, 2020-and-newer CX-30, 2019-and-newer Mazda3 and 2021–2025 CX-5. Older aftermarket Mazda software doesn't work on those vehicles, and Mazda smart keys are picky — the key has to be the correct part for your exact vehicle.
What we do. We supply the correct Mazda key for your vehicle, cut the emergency blade on our Triton key machine, and program it at your vehicle using Mazda MDARS or MDARS II. We use MDARS and MDARS II, and we do spare keys, replacement push to start smart keys and all-keys-lost on newer push-start Mazdas.
Older Mazdas too. We make keys for Mazdas back to 2000 — Protege, MPV, Tribute, B-Series pickup, RX-8, CX-7 and more — including transponder keys, flip keys, remotes and all-keys-lost. Call or text 307-206-4218 with your year and model to confirm.
